AUSTRALIA: WOMADelaide 2015 has revealed a brand new culinary experience with the introduction of the Street in The Park – Taste The World Restaurant. In collaboration with Jock Zonfrillo, the gastronomic mastermind behind Adelaide’s renowned Street ADL and Orana restaurants, the Street in The Park – Taste The World Restaurant will offer dedicated sit-down lunch and dinner sessions surrounded by all the colour, music and excitement of the festival.
Jock will focus his formidable culinary expertise on preparing specialised street food dishes inspired by the 28 different countries and cultures of WOMADelaide artists, complemented by full table service, matched wines and luxury festival dining crockery, cutlery and glassware.
Also featured in the Taste The World programme will be Flavia Coelho (Brazil), Ramzi Aburedwan (Palestine) and Jupiter Bokondji (Democratic Republic of Congo), who will celebrate and share the delicious food and fascinating culture of their home countries, entwined with musical interludes and intimate personal antidotes.
