Independent UK promoter Labyrinth has announced a groundbreaking new open-air live music series, Labyrinth on the Thames. Scheduled across the first two weekends in August, this ambitious concept will unite some of the world’s most culturally relevant contemporary dance music acts. Labyrinth on the Thames is an exclusive residency at the iconic UNESCO World Heritage Site – Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, London, representing an innovative cultural milestone for contemporary dance music, celebrating the convergence of old and new.
Attendees will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience world class performances in an unmatched, truly unique riverside setting, fostering a deeper connection between music and place. As London’s most ambitious new live concept, the six day series is poised to welcome 60,000 attendees, solidifying its position as a key player in the UK’s summer music calendar.
The audio-visual elements of these events will be produced by High Scream whose innovative touch has graced some of the world’s most prestigious events and venues, including the Paris 2024 Olympics Closing Ceremony, as well as collaborations with Walt Disney, Madison Square Garden, and Coachella. Together, Labyrinth and High Scream will celebrate the architectural beauty of this iconic heritage site while embracing London’s vibrant culture and contemporary innovation.
Fans will soak up the music along the edge of the River Thames, framed by the London skyline as the sun sets. Staged across the afternoon and evening until 11pm, the series promises a mesmerising experience, where sound, light, and art collide bringing the venue to life in a way never experienced before. Alongside the music, Labyrinth will also roll out initiatives to ensure the local Greenwich community directly benefit from the landmark event including priority tickets for residents, partnerships with local suppliers, and collaborations with cultural institutions on opportunities for emerging talent and young people.
