MOGA enters a new era as it combines real world musical experiences with the latest internet technology to offer an audio recording NFT that captures an exclusive live performance. It will be unveiled on the Pianity platform at the Non Fungible Conference (NFC) in Lisbon on April 4th and 5th 2022 and is a ground-breaking new development for festivals and live events.
Next week, the real world experience combines with internet technology to make for an exclusive new NFT offering. First, there will be a live showcase on April 4th at 4pm featuring performances by Moroccan artist Maalem Omar Hayat and Parallels DJs. The artists’ collaborative work will be mixed and mastered overnight and minted as an NFT the next morning. The NFT will be available for purchase on the 5th of April at 10 am at the MOGA pop-up store at the NFC Summit and online via Pianity’s website.
All holders of the NFT will also receive a video of the showcase. A few golden tickets hidden inside random NFTs will include a full pass for both editions of MOGA 2022 Festivals in Caparica and Essaouira. To link even more the real and digital worlds, some NFT holders will be invited to a private Moroccan diner with members of the MOGA Tribe and the artists.
Going from a live showcase experience directly into a NFT in the digital world is something that has never been done before. It marks the start of the new era for MOGA unlocking new experiences with web3 technology. Also, in the future, there will be a series of collectibles offered as NFTs. These collectibles will offer unique access and experiences at MOGA festival. This is in partnership with Pianity, a music NFT platform where musicians and their community gather to create, share, trade and collect limited-edition tracks. It is built on environmentally-conscious Arweave technology and is very much a leader in the space.
Since its creation in Essaouira in 2016, MOGA festival has set up collaborative projects with electronic artists and traditional Moroccan musicians. Five days prior to the event every year, the artists go into the studio, get to know each other, discover each other’s art and create original music that they play LIVE during the festival. The Moroccan National Tourism Office is supporting the showcase at the NFC to bring the essence of MOGA in the web 3.0.
Over the years, the MOGA team has united people from all over the world and are excited to bring them an even more meaningful festival experience. Says the MOGA team, “Since its creation in Essaouira, the spirit of MOGA has been deeply linked by nomadism, curiosity, and discoveries. Over the past years, MOGA Festival has united people from all over the world into a community – self-proclaimed the MOGA TRIBE. Today, it is time for us to enter a new era and offer our tribe a unique way to live and own the festival experience. We are currently creating a limited series of collectibles that will be soon available as NFTs. They will not only fuse the members of the tribe together, but they will allow exclusive access to a completely new festival experience.”
