CZECH REPUBLIC: Colours of Ostrava Festival, set to take place from July 19 – 22 in the Czech Republic, has announced more acts for 2017.
Included in the announcement are Jamiroquai, Imagine Dragons, Norah Jones, Justice, alt-J, Midnight Oil, Birdy, Moderat, Michael Kiwanuka, Laura Mvula, Benjamin Clementine, UNKLE, Booka Shade, Nouvelle Vague, Afro Celt Sound System, and more.
Spread over 24 unique outdoor and indoor stages, Colours of Ostrava promises to offer an unrivalled selection of contemporary and classic performers, from electro to world music, jazz, indie rock, and reggae. Festivalgoers can look forward to over 350 events ranging from bands, DJs, films, open discussions, workshops, theatre, poetry, and art installations.
The festival is held on the site of the city’s former mines and ironworks, a European Cultural Heritage Site that juxtaposes an industrial backdrop with green spaces.
Colours of Ostrava was founded in 2002 and ranked as one of the Top 10 music festivals in Europe in 2016 by The Guardian.
