Defender Announces Lost Villlage Partnership

Jaguar Land Rover brand, Defender, has announced a partnership with Lost Village Festival.

Defender say that the partnership with Lost Village offers both a practical solution to the logistical challenges of a large scale open-air event, but also an opportunity to build lasting memories for guests, something the Defender is renowned for.

Defender and Lost Village have worked together to create ‘The Outpost’, a stage for new and established artists and a multi-faceted guest experience. Based in a rugged, isolated part of the wooded site, curated with lighting and architectural installations, ‘The Outpost’ promises to create a sense of intrepid adventure for the music lovers attending the festival.

Anthony Bradbury, JLR (UK) Communications & Insights Director, said: “This exciting partnership plays to the passion points of our clients who seek to build memories through adventure. Partnering with Lost Village to combine live music and the great outdoors in a creative and energetic way, is a truly unique opportunity for Defender.”

Defender has been building close connections through affiliations with music over recent years, aligning with culture with a bold new energy. This includes partnerships with Glastonbury, Wonderfruit and Dreamville festivals and through its partnership with British rapper, Kano.

Leonie Raistrick, Defender (UK) Brand Director, said: “We are proud of our collaboration with Lost Village and create an experience that channels modern luxury in a rugged, engaging way. It will be great to see our Defender fleet bring its unique capability to another British festival this summer.”

A fleet of electric hybrid Defenders will be supporting the event across the four-day festival. Furthermore, by utilising solar energy [or, by utilising an innovative new portable Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)**] Defender is able to elevate Lost Village’s sustainability efforts.

A luxury vehicle capable of a real-world range of 32 miles in EV-mode*, the Defender P400e will exercise its breadth of capability throughout the festival, both as a luxury vehicle for artist and VIP transport, as well as completing its more utilitarian duties with grit, whatever the challenge.

Jay Jameson and Andy George, Founders of Lost Village, said: “We’re really happy to be collaborating with Defender. At Lost Village, we have been auditing and offsetting our known carbon emissions every year, for many years. That’s great, but the aim is to constantly find ways to reduce that output, with every passing year. Using the EV hybrid-Defenders is a huge help, whilst still giving us the size and scope to operate effectively. That’s the practical stuff. In terms of the pure fun stuff, we’ve really enjoyed working with the team and reimagining the spirit of Defender within the weird and wonderful world of LV. As a result, The Outpost is going be a really hot destination, shining an incredible light on some new artists we’re really excited about.”
