Takedown Festival have announce that it’s 2024 Festival, due to take place in Portsmouth on 13th and 14th April has been postponed until 2025, with organisers offering ticketholders a refund from point of purchase.
In a statement, the organisers explained that building works at the Portsmouth Guildhall would be extended across the festival dates, resulting in the loss of two key areas of the festival site and a reduction in capacity that made it no longer viable for this year. They also pointed to challenging trading conditions as another factor.
Organisers also stated that: “Takedown Festival will return in 2025 with, it is hoped, much of this year’s line-up carried forward. We are currently in talks with all of the bands to see if this is possible for them. Until we are in a position to confirm any details we have decided that all ticket holders will be refunded by their point of purchase.
