MALTA: Uno Village in Malta has been acquired by the 356 Entertainment Group, an experienced team that hopes to ‘return it to its former glory in 2016 and beyond’. From Solomun to Bob Sinclar, Eats Everything to Hudson Mohawke to Bondax, a number of renowned acts are already lined up for the venue as well as Creamfields, IMS Malta and TheSoundYouNeed Festival.
The International Music Summit will migrate to Malta to set up a special college for a crash course in electronic music this summer from July 1 – 3. It will bring some of the world’s brightest young musical minds together for a ‘360 degree’ learning experience that hopes to facilitate the ascent of emerging talent. There will be panels, interactive sessions, and top tier teachers from Point Blank and SAE all sharing their expertise on publishing, DJing, production, press, events, labels, booking, marketing and more. What’s more, Solomun, Pete Tong and Nic Fanciulli will all play special night parties that accompany the IMS College – the grand opening of which is being held at Uno Village.
The multi-space club has been outfitted with a custom designed Funktion One sound system throughout and has three different stages that cater to different moods and grooves. The venue also boasts VIP booths and terraces, well-equipped bars, lights, lasers, luxurious decor and more.
The club will be open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and Sunday and promises to cater to both mainstream and underground crowds.
