UK: Jaymo & Andy George have announced a raft of new artists to be included in the inaugural Lost Village festival (May 23 – 24) with Tale of Us added as additional headliners. Other additions include rising stars such as Citizen, Doorly, Jasper James, LXURY, Alexis Raphael and masterful Aussie synth specialist Harvey Sutherland.
These new acts will join the likes of Four Tet, DJ Koze, Jamie Jones and many more. Set amongst derelict buildings in an abandoned woodland village, deep in the Lincolnshire countryside, Lost Village is one of the UK’s most dynamic boutique festivals, ranging from house and disco to indie and techno.
On Sunday afternoon the focus turns to live music, with some of the most hotly tipped emerging bands entering the Village. IYES, who recently signed to Sony, Fickle Friends, Boiler Room favourites Binkbeats and electro-funk duo Arkon Fly, who have just signed to RCA worldwide, will all be performing. These new additions join previously announced live acts such as Tourist (aka William Philips) who recently picked up a Grammy after co-writing Sam Smith’s ‘Stay With Me’. Tourist’s performance at Lost Village coincides with the release of his highly anticipated debut album.
“We’re seriously pleased to be revealing these new artists,” commented festival creators Jaymo & Andy George. “Not only does it include stars of today such as Tale of Us, but it also includes stars of tomorrow. Lost Village is all about discovery – whether that’s discovering crazy stuff in the woods, discovering new music or discovering new friends – it’s very important that the weekend is full of surprises. As straight up music fans we’re absolutely buzzing about Lost Village – there’s so much to look forward to – we’ve kinda just booked everything on our iPods!”
